The member universities of the Digital University North Rhine-Westphalia (DH.NRW) reaffirm their commitment to the complete transfer of research results to Open Access.

The strategy sets the goal that Open Access and comprehensive usability of scientific publications should be the standard in NRW, regardless of the type of publication. It identifies concrete challenges that may arise in this process and makes recommendations on how to overcome them.

The Open Access Strategy was developed by the Openness Working Group of the DH.NRW Programme Committee. Prof. Dr. Ursula Arning, head of the programme area Open Science at ZB MED, was involved as a member of the working group.
