Searching for and using research data

Methods of finding research data include search engines and targeted searches in dedicated repositories and databases.

ZB MED’s own search portal LIVIVO, Europe's most popular search engine for life sciences, also indexes research data. To reduce the list of search results, "research data" can be filtered as document type on the left of the screen. If the data are linked to a journal article, this is clearly indicated.

Research data published in the PUBLISSO – Repository for Life Sciences (FRL) are also available through LIVIVO, as well as in BASE and DataCite.

If you wish to search for research data in special subject repositories we recommend consulting the global Registry of Research Data Repositories re3data.org.
